Tawaka Contracting was founded in 2018 and works from Greendale, Harare. We started with finishing trades — painting and flooring — where the difference between adequate and excellent is visible to anyone standing in the room. That standard is still what we are measured against.
Today we take on complete construction works and renovations for homeowners, landlords, offices and industrial clients across Harare. The company is deliberately structured so the person who quotes your job is accountable for the team that delivers it.

Terrazzo is a cementitious floor with exposed aggregate, ground and polished — durable and decorative, well suited to verandas and entrances. Epoxy flooring is a seamless resin system that is hard, chemical-resistant and ideal for warehouses and garages. Polyurethane flooring is more flexible and handles thermal movement and impact better, which suits heavy industrial traffic. We will recommend the right system for your substrate and use once we have seen the site.
We visit the site, measure up and assess the substrate, then issue an itemised written quotation broken down by trade, material and labour. Nothing is hidden in a single lump sum, and any variation is agreed in writing before the work is carried out.
It depends on scope and substrate condition. A bathroom renovation typically runs one to three weeks; a full house repaint one to three weeks depending on size and preparation required; specialist flooring is often faster to lay but needs curing time before the area is loaded. You receive a programme with your quotation and progress is reported against it.
Yes, and we do this regularly. We phase the works, sheet and protect surfaces, contain dust, and can programme noisy or disruptive stages outside business hours for commercial clients. Sites are swept at the end of every working day.
Normally yes — supply and fit is quoted as one package, and we specify systems appropriate to the substrate and expected traffic. If you prefer to supply your own materials we can quote for labour only, though we will advise where a specification may affect durability or the guarantee.
